Best time to book airfare

So many travel experts have different opinions when it comes to best time to book airfare. The airlines may not admit it, but there is a best time to book airfare.
Complicated algorithms utilized by the airlines figure prices for airfares, these algorithms include many factors, including the destination history, available tickets, purchase patterns, and sometimes the weather.
The prices can go up and down at different times of the day, and it’s hard to know if and when prices will go down at any given hour.
Some industry insiders think that buying airline tickets on certain days, rather than time of day, can bring cheaper prices. It’s no secret that some major airlines move to announce sales on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursday.
In my opinion, booking on Tuesday evenings is the best time to book airfare. Most airlines have a history of releasing airfare sales on Tuesday mornings, and if other airlines offer the same discount, they often do so by the evening.
Airline promotions normally close on Fridays, in addition, when airlines hike prices, they often do this on a weekend, so Saturdays and Sundays are not your best time to book airfare.
Buying at off-peak hours such as late at night or in the early morning might not help you land a cheap fare. You may have a better time searching for airline tickets during off-peak times.
Airline reservation systems are created to handle peak loads, but run even better during off-peak hours when there’s little traffic.
